Tad has been a successful professional taxidermist, artist and pharmacist in the Canton and Massillon area of Ohio .  In 1955, at the age of 8 years, he received his taxidermy diploma from the North Western School of Taxidermy in Omaha, Nebraska.  Much more recently and more importantly, he has studied this art form under some of the most accomplished taxidermists in the US.

Tad has competed in dozens of  taxidermy competitions.  In 1987 he won the "Best in World" upland game bird category at the 1987 World Taxidermy Competition in Lawrence, Kansas.  He also holds more than  15 other world awards as well over a hundred other state, regional, national and world awards for fish, game birds, ducks, large and medium and small mammals, and reproduction taxidermy.

His work and natural habitat mounts are on display in many Ohio museums, colleges and wildlife centers such as the Massillon Museum, Malone University, and Sippo Park of Canton.

An avid bow hunter, Tad has hunted and photographed game  from the Rockies and Alaska to the frozen tundra of Quebec.  In 1987 he took the second largest non-typical whitetail in Ohio with bow and arrow for that year.  That deer is still ranked as the second largest ever taken in Stark county, Ohio.

As a writer, Tad has had several articles published in outdoor magazines such as North American Whitetail, Bowhunter, and Ohio Game and Fish.

As an inventor, Tad holds a US patent for camouflage and also for the War Bird Series of faces.
